Description:
The local foods market has long been driven by direct-to-consumer sales through farmers’ markets. These markets continue to be a strong and profitable avenue for small-scale producers, but as the number of markets has plateaued, online food sales have tripled in the last three years. The rise of the local and small-scale food movement, coupled with digital platforms that are easier than ever to launch, has worked to disrupt the grocery industry in a big way.

This program will focus on practical tips and best practices for having a user-friendly web store. This fast-paced program will look at:

  • Popular platforms

  • Subscriptions

  • Shipping

  • The user experience

  • A glimpse into popular web stores that generate substantial sales
