Employer Services Include

  • Incumbent Worker

Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) is intended to meet the requirements of an employer or group of employers to retain a skilled workforce or avert the need to lay off employees by assisting the workers in obtaining the skills necessary to retain employment, increase the competitiveness of the employer or employee and increase the skills of the current workforce. Eligible employers may receive up to 90% reimbursement for approved training costs. Contact Us — Workforce Alliance at Workforce Alliance to find out more.

  • On the Job Training

Through the OJT contract, occupational training is provided for the WIOA participant in exchange for the reimbursement of 50% of the wage rate for the participant.  This reimbursement paid to the employer is designed to compensate them for the extraordinary costs of providing the training and supervision related to the training, and the potentially lower productivity of the participant while learning the skills needed to adequately perform the job duties of the position. Contact Us — Workforce Alliance at Workforce Alliance to find out more.

Empowering Second-Chance Employment for a Stronger Workforce

Why Recovery & Reentry Employment Matters

Hiring individuals in recovery or reentry isn’t just about giving second chances — it’s about building a stronger, more resilient workforce.

Stronger Teams – Studies show 66% of employees feel proud to work for an organization that supports second-chance hiring.
Higher Retention – Inclusive workplaces see increased loyalty and reduced turnover.
Community Impact – By opening doors, employers help break cycles of recidivism and create lasting change in our community.

How Employers Benefit

  • A pipeline of motivated candidates prepared through job training and wraparound supports.
