Program Description: Dealing with Challenging Performance Situations

This workshop provides skill-building practice in conducting both performance improvement sessions and disciplinary discussions. Models and exercises are designed to build skills in handling disciplinary infraactions, working with employees to develop performance improvement plans, and meet the challenges of formal performance evaluations.

This series of interactive workshops are designed for participants who want to explore topics that will help in their workplaces, careers and personal life, and are taught by Penn State professionals who have their pulse on what is needed in today's work environment. In partnership with Workforce Alliance, Penn State Scranton will begin the workshops in January 2022. The successful completion of these workshops plus 10 additional workshops can lead to the obtainment of a Penn State Supervision Essentials non-credit certificate.
