Generational Conflict Workshop:

Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials, and Post Millennials are the five generational groups active in the workforce today. Each has vastly different work styles and priorities. The synergy created by such diversity can drive organizations to new levels of success, but the conflict that can arise among members of the groups can hamper business development and profitability.

As a result, human resource professionals, managers, and business leaders need tactics to overcome this conflict. This workshop will compare the characteristics of the various groups and offer tactics for businesses seeking to engage younger workers from an employment and marketing standpoint.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL External Evaluator

Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance (WPWA) invites and welcomes contract proposals from experienced external evaluator to collect data that supports evaluation of student progress and program implementation at WP SHINE Afterschool program located in Wayne Highlands, Western Wayne and Wallenpaupack School Districts. Please take the time to carefully read and become familiar with the proposal requirements.

PROPOSAL BIDDING REQUIREMENTSDEADLINE TO SUBMIT PROPOSAL
Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance must receive all proposals no later than 4:00 PM on August26th for consideration in the project proposal selection process. All proposals must be submitted with proof of Insurance Certificate. Submissions MUST be sent to proposals@wpworkforce.org

RFP REQUIREMENTS and OBJECTIVES

Evaluation of student progress and program implementation include but are not limited to:-Collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting K-12 educational data -understanding of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).-Data safeguarding-Conducting site visits-Assist in setting up evaluation plan, collecting data and assisting in fulfilling reporting requirements-Prepare require annual evaluation-Assess program progress toward achieving its goal of providing high-quality opportunities for academic enrichment-Be based on the factors of the principles of effectiveness.

PROPOSAL SELECTION CRITERIA
Only those proposals received by the stated deadline will be considered. All proposals, submitted by the deadline, will be reviewed and evaluated based upon information provided. In addition, consideration will be given to cost and performance projections. Furthermore, the following criteria will be given considerable weight in the proposal selection process:

• Proposals received by the stipulated deadline.

• Bidder's alleged performance effectiveness of their proposal's solution regarding the Project Objective of Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance.

• Bidder's performance history and alleged ability to timely deliver proposed services. o

• Bidder’s Proof of Insurance.

• Bidder's ability to provide and deliver qualified personnel having the knowledge and skills required to effectively and efficiently execute proposed services.

• Overall cost effectiveness of the proposal.

Accelerate Wayne – The Gigabit & Dead Cell Zone Project Launches Employer and Household Surveys

Emerging tourist/tech region 90 miles from New York City seeks affordable broadband options, improved cell service, 5G investments and Gigabit City status to help existing Employers grow; and new companies relocate to beautiful Wayne County, Pennsylvania

(Wayne County, PA) – January 18, 2022 – Households, employers, companies, schools, local governments, and non-profit organizations are rallying together in Wayne County to ask Employers and Households to complete quick surveys on existing broadband, cell service, and future 5G service to help expedite and improve the results of a broadband initiative project aimed to improve service and reduce costs for Wayne County residents. Please help by completing a survey, see the link below.

Your swift response will help us spur broadband options, broadband availability, and broadband investment across the County as well as eliminate dead cell zones and speed the deployment on next generation 5G wireless.  Therefore, we ask that employer surveys are submitted by February 7, 2022 and household surveys submitted by February 14, 2022.

Pocono WDB Announces Request for Proposals for Wayne County

The Pocono Counties Workforce Development Board (WDB) is requesting proposals to provide programs under the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Youth Development Program in Wayne County.
