Program Description: Setting the Stage for Excellent Performance
Employee performance management is the heart of supervision in that it includes all the supervisory activities directly related to ensuring that employee performance is the best that it can be. This workshop covers the basic concepts - what performance management consists of, why it is of benefit, how supervisors contribute to creating a motivational climate, and how to establish, how supervisors contribute to creating a motivational climate, and how to establish and communicate high standards and positive expectation for the performance of all employees.
This series of interactive workshops are designed for participants who want to explore topics that will help in their workplaces, careers and personal life, and are taught by Penn State professionals who have their pulse on what is needed in today's work environment. In partnership with Workforce Alliance, Penn State Scranton will begin the workshops in January 2022. The successful completion of these workshops plus 10 additional workshops can lead to the obtainment of a Penn State Supervision Essentials non-credit certificate.
