Program Description: Solving Problems
This workshop focuses on building skills in problem solving. A six-step model is introduced an a number of useful tools for defining problems, analyzing data, and generating alternative actions are explained and applied. Application exercises are designed to help supervisors solve the various problems they face on a daily basis.
This series of interactive workshops are designed for participants who want to explore topics that will help in their workplaces, careers and personal life, and are taught by Penn State professionals who have their pulse on what is needed in today's work environment. In partnership with Workforce Alliance, Penn State Scranton will begin the workshops in January 2022. The successful completion of these workshops plus 10 additional workshops can lead to the obtainment of a Penn State Supervision Essentials non-credit certificate.
